Title: One Rental At A Time Pdf The Journey to Financial Independence through Real Estate
Have you ever thought about real estate investing as a path to financial freedom? Have you kicked around the idea but felt you were too busy with work and family responsibilities? If so, One Rental at a Time will transform your life, just as it has transformed my life and the lives of thousands of others. This book reveals how buying and holding rental properties will create a second income that can, in time, allow you to quit your day job. It worked for me and it can work for you too. What's stopping you? Read the book and learn how One Rental at a Time can lead to financial independence.

Great book, especially for the new real-estate investor I have known the author Michael Zuber for several years and he was a mentor to me as I started my rental investment journey. Starting with our first rental we quickly expanded to four and are now in the process of selecting a fifth property. There are a number of resources out there when it comes to investing in rental properties, but to be frank, some of these resources can be less than trustworthy as they may have less than ethical goals of getting you to invest in some sort of scheme. Zuber is the opposite of this, he genuinely wants to help people understand how to invest in rental properties to help build semi-passive income. I say "semi-passive" because Zuber is very clear that building a rental portfolio takes work, but illustrates how to go about doing it so that your efforts lead to a second income that you control. If you are thinking of investing in rental properties I highly recommend this book as it will save you quite a bit of time and headaches, as you are learning from a seasoned expert and the real-life examples provided throughout the book help drive the concepts home.Literal step by step of how you can gain financial freedom through rentals Incredible layout of how Michael himself achieved his goals and now he is sharing those steps with everyone. Being able to study the things he did wrong and right, allow me to avoid the mistakes he made and choose the right path when making decsions. If you want to gain financial freedom in real estate, start with this book!Your step by step guide to freedom outstanding book that provided a step by step plan to financial freedom!Michael did a nice job laying out the entire book that allows the reader to understand the entire process including how to find the property, the one percent rule, avoiding alligators and key notes on financing assets. This is an excellent book! I highly recommend you get a copy to read and another to give to a friend.Be sure to check out @Onerentalatatime on YouTube.

Enjoy! This book is a great motivational read with a powerful storyline This book is a great motivational read with a powerful storyline. The author, DC Gonzalez does a great job presenting a compelling guide into winning at the inner game. I almost read the entire book in one enthralling sitting with its concise, encouraging and actionable style. The stories and examples in the book truly make you look within yourself and examine your own thought processes. It is true that "attitude is everything". I especially enjoyed the stories involving Leo-tai and his mastery level understanding and practice of the mental game. In addition, I relished the parts concerning "imagineering" and how powerful the imagination can be if you apply it in one's life.I also found the story about Pelé to be captivating and demonstrated the potent strategies outlined in the book. It is wonderful to be able to look inside the mind of a champion and see what drives them. What drives them? The answer is passion, self-belief and the will to make it happen! It is true that the inner will reflect on the outer. It is time to let go of fear and doubt and visualize your optimal future for it is a preview of what's to come in your life. To control you mind is to control your life - and the others around you. Dare to be that mental and spiritual warrior! As an avid reader of inspirational and how-to books, I found this a great addition to my Kindle library and I cannot wait to share it with friends. If you want a mental edge, read and put into practice the potent lessons espoused in The Art of Mental Training - A Guide to Performance Excellence. This is an empowering resource for everyone! The Art of Pointless Anecdotal Stories I'm suspicious that many of the reviews for this book are fake. Even if a reader was being incredibly generous, they wouldn't rave about a book like this. It has no depth or reveal. Even if you were truly in desperate need of focus, direction, or mental training, you wouldn't read this book and walk away thinking, "Well, boy, I learned a lot!"The book is an embarrassingly amateur read. It's a very light book consisting of a series of "grasshoppa" moments (look up the 1970's TV show "Kung Fu" if that reference is dated). The author simply tells a ton of short stories (very short, as-in 2-3 pages) that are supposed to teach principles. But the stories are childish and the lessons "learned" are totally obvious. "I grew up in the midwest. During the summer, we would visit the ice cream truck. Not only was the ice cream not that great, but I often got an ice cream headache after eating it. Lesson: The mind is your most powerful tool. Treat it well." That example is not a quote from the book, but rather an illustration of the ridiculous "insight" contained in this book.I don't mean to be too harsh on the author, but this kind of fluff writing simply doesn't fly in the 21st century. There have been too many advances in performance, brain development, and neurology to simply tell stupid stories. There isn't a single reference in the book to any scientific studies whatsoever. Furthermore, there isn't even a single footnote or source cited for anything (other than the author's opinion). The book has no forward from any peers in the field of performance or personal development, and no quotes of praise from any authors of similar topics. If you're serious about this subject, check out "Thinking Fast and Slow," "Focus," or any of the books by former Navy SEAL Mark Divine.

How She Died, How I Lived Free Pdf

ISBN: 031652381X
Title: How She Died, How I Lived Pdf
Author: Mary Crockett
Published Date: 2018-11-13
Page: 416

Gr 9 Up-On a fateful July evening, Kyle Paxson texted five local girls with offers to hang out. Jamie was the only one kind enough to answer, and when she met up with him, he brutally murdered her. One year later, the unnamed narrator-one of the five girls who was texted-is still struggling with survivor's guilt. It doesn't help that Kyle's sentencing hearing is coming up. While she struggles with the knowledge that someone had premeditated her murder-Kyle was quoted as saying that he didn't care who showed up-she is also dealing with feelings for Jamie's boyfriend Charlie who has become angry, brooding, and distant after Jamie's murder. As Kyle's sentencing draws nearer, and her feelings for Charlie grow stronger, the narrator must reconcile a maelstrom of emotions. Can love and hope exist in the wake of such random and senseless violence? Crockett's first novel defies genre; it is a book about grief, acceptance, and forgiveness. Written in short, digestible chapters, the emotion-filled narration so authentically captures the traumatic experience, that the reading experience could be overwhelming for some. The writing grabs readers and never lets go. Crockett delves deep into the heart of grief and pain through her narrator, who is witty and vulnerable, making this a quick but heartrending read. VERDICT An outstanding debut that explores the deluge of emotions that follows a tragedy. Highly recommended.-Tyler Hixson, Brooklyn Public Libraryα(c) Copyright 2011. Recommended for readers of realistic fiction and those who have lost someone close to them in a senseless crime."―VOYA

Girl in Pieces meets The Way I Used to Be in this poignant and thought-provoking novel about a girl who must overcome her survivor's guilt after a fellow classmate is brutally murdered.

I was one of five. The five girls Kyle texted that day. The girls it could have been. Only Jamie--beautiful, saintly Jamie--was kind enough to respond. And it got her killed.

On the eve of Kyle's sentencing a year after Jamie's death, all the other "chosen ones" are coping in various ways. But our tenacious narrator is full of anger, stuck somewhere between the horrifying past and the unknown future as she tries to piece together why she gets to live, while Jamie is dead.

Now she finds herself drawn to Charlie, Jamie's boyfriend--knowing all the while that their relationship will always be haunted by what-ifs and why-nots. Is hope possible in the face of such violence? Is forgiveness? How do you go on living when you know it could have been you instead?

Emotional and thoughtful. Based on review copy. How She Died, How I Lived isn't my normal read, but I couldn't let go of the idea of a girl struggling with survivor's guilt after a classmate was murdered. Our main character was a nameless female high school student who received a text from neighborhood weirdo Kyle one random summer day. She never responded to him, but she had planned to. Instead, sweet Jamie answered his call for company and was sexually assaulted and brutally murdered. How She Died, How I Lived reminded me a bit of The Female of the Species because of its conversations of violence done to women and the assumption men have over women's bodies. Overall, How She Died, How I Lived was a thoughtful story that explored trauma, love after loss, friendship, and forgiveness. I recommend this to readers who enjoy quieter books that explore growth.Extraordinary craft propels an important, relevant, and engaging story! Mary Crockett's novel "How She Died, How I Lived" resonated deep in my bones in a number of ways. At first glance, the book tackles an unfortunately real scenario that we are forced to encounter and endure; the violence that women are subjected to, often merely for being women, is grossly and painstakingly true. The contents of this novel did so much more than rely on the controversially relevant subject matter to propel itself forward—this comes from an artfully mastered control of technicality and craft. Crockett delicately balances the framework of her novel with equal parts literary craft, well-researched detail, and an engaging characters, dialogue, and overall tone throughout its entirety. I found myself flipping through pages faster and faster, often holding my breath as I waited to see where I would end up next. I bought in to this story whole-heartedly. I fell into the world Mary Crockett carved into the southwest Virginian landscape headfirst and without reservation. What struck me about this novel were the hills and valleys I found myself enduring throughout the read. There were moments of hope and devastation, optimism and disbelief, which kept me wanting to read further. Each character sustained him or herself on the page. I tend to find myself dipping into a realm of predictability with a bulk of YA fiction, and even a heavy reliance on over-dramatics and hyperbole to capture the attention and interest of the "young adult" audience. I was surprisingly gifted a text that spoke to a younger generation yet did not give into these cliched pitfalls as a means of creating shortcuts in plot or page-turning gimmicks. Instead, the plot held its own, carried me through the story line, and was even kind enough to leave me with a sliver of hope for what happens after the final pages.I am glad to have picked up this copy of Mary Crockett's book, and I eagerly look forward to her next!Good story Good powerful story

Hollywood's Eve Free Pdf

ISBN: B07CMXZM8Q
Title: Hollywood's Eve Pdf Eve Babitz and the Secret History of L.A.
“I practically snorted this book, stayed up all night with it. Anolik decodes, ruptures, and ultimately intensifies Eve’s singular irresistible glitz.” —Jia Tolentino, The New Yorker

“The Eve Babitz book I’ve been waiting for. What emerges isn’t just a portrait of a writer, but also of Los Angeles: sprawling, melancholic, and glamorous.” —Stephanie Danler, author of Sweetbitter

Los Angeles in the 1960s and 70s was the pop culture capital of the world—a movie factory, a music factory, a dream factory. Eve Babitz was the ultimate factory girl, a pure product of LA.

The goddaughter of Igor Stravinsky and a graduate of Hollywood High, Babitz posed in 1963, at age twenty, playing chess with the French artist Marcel Duchamp. She was naked; he was not. The photograph, cheesecake with a Dadaist twist, made her an instant icon of art and sex. Babitz spent the rest of the decade rocking and rolling on the Sunset Strip, honing her notoriety. There were the album covers she designed: for Buffalo Springfield and the Byrds, to name but a few. There were the men she seduced: Jim Morrison, Ed Ruscha, Harrison Ford, to name but a very few.

Then, at nearly thirty, her It girl days numbered, Babitz was discovered—as a writer—by Joan Didion. She would go on to produce seven books, usually billed as novels or short story collections, always autobiographies and confessionals. Under-known and under-read during her career, she’s since experienced a breakthrough. Now in her mid-seventies, she’s on the cusp of literary stardom and recognition as an essential—as the essential—LA writer. Her prose achieves that American ideal: art that stays loose, maintains its cool, and is so sheerly enjoyable as to be mistaken for simple entertainment.

For Babitz, life was slow days, fast company until a freak fire in the 90s turned her into a recluse, living in a condo in West Hollywood, where Lili Anolik tracked her down in 2012. Anolik’s elegant and provocative new book is equal parts biography and detective story. It is also on dangerously intimate terms with its subject: artist, writer, muse, and one-woman zeitgeist, Eve Babitz.

I like the blue you used. I really enjoyed Lili Anouk's writing. Her blue is the best blue. I am also very fond of Eve Babitz's blue now.Sui Generis One of a kind book by a one of a kind wrier.Almost as Fascinating as its Subject Anolik takes pains in her foreward to almost apologize for her non-linear biographic take on Babitz. She has no need to: the book places the reader up close to Babitz and her world, unflinchingly. A great writer illuminates her subject in HOLLYWOOD'S EVE.
